Greetings from the Inland Empire, Ca

I purchased a 2014 Surveyor Cadet 189 for a retirement gift to myself. I took it out on its maiden voyage down the freeway to San Diego. I researched for six months before deciding on the Surveyor, and I'm glad I did. I got the floor plan I wanted in the size and weight I needed. The trip was a success! My 8 cyl 4-Runner pulled it smoothly. The trailer towed and braked nicely. I set up camp with minimum hassle and even dumped the tanks like an old hand! (Never mind that I kept the directions on the hose box close by.)

I just needed to share the excitement of the first trip! This was a great confidence builder. I'm looking forward to seeing this great country.

Congrats! A successful first travel and setup should be enjoyed like a vintage wine - savor it and remember your happiness when you are dumping with someone behind you and rain pouring down your back collar.

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum.

For your info, there is a FROG Rally being held in Petaluma, CA the week of 20 April.

Here's a link in the event that you're interested in getting together with fellow FR owners.

California Rally

I'm in Arizona, but driving over to attend. It's the first CA Rally, and hope that it becomes a yearly event.
