Greetings from the Left Coast

Hello, and howdy from Southern Cal... I've been rv'ing / camping since I was about 8 or 9 years old, and I just realized after saying that, that's almost 50 years... Ugh! Currently I am the owner of a 2009 Cardinal 5th wheel that sadly due to various personal reasons I have not camped in for over four years... I have to admit, that I joined this forum to try and get some pointers on selling my rig. Again, sadly, at least for the short term, my camping days are over.... Thankfully it is financial reasons, and not health related, so I am grateful for the many years and good times I have enjoyed rv'ing up to now, and who knows, maybe down the road, I will RV again. I have had a total of 5 RV's, all have been 5th wheels, and each new trailer seemed to get larger than the previous one.. Started with a 19 ft Layton back in 1989 then went 25ft, 25ft with slide, 31ft, and the currrent Cardinal is a 35ft. I think the larger trailer's were the result of a new larger tow vehicle being acquired triggering the thought that, "hey, I can tow a bigger trailer now"... Anyways, I'll be hanging out, asking a few questions, and hopefully contributing to some of the discussions going on...

Bruce.

Greetings from Wisconsin. Hopefully your absence from camping is only temporary. RE selling your 2009 Cardinal 5th wheel, have you considered posting it on Craigslist?

Greetings from Central Florida, most of us go through ups and downs, it's the spirit that we have in our situations that makes the difference! We went to that after owning a Brand new Class A, had to camp in tents, hey, kids did love it!!! (1 year) moved up to a pop up, hw pop up, tt, and the one we have now, 6 years later! slowly getting back on our feets, but happy, happy, happy! don't give up! God bless!

Thanks, yeah I've put it up on Cragslist a few times but only had a couple of scamers respond to it... Hoping that with spring and summer coming, the market is going to get better.. I put it up in October which is not what I would consider a good time to try and sell.

Greetings from Michigan. Frank and Charlene here from the Monroe, Michigan area. We have been camping for 35 years...a Pop-up, 23' Frolic TT, '34' Layton TT (25 years), and now a 2010 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 5er. We camp predominately at Yankee Springs Recreation Area (Gun lake Unit) near Hastings, Michigan and Ludington, Michigan. The 5th wheel appears be much easier to pull and set up so maybe we will start venturing to other places...

We have started a new group on this forum called MICHIGAN CAMPING. Please visit the group, introduce yourselves, and if you know where to catch the big ones at any of Michigan's lakes please share the wealth!

Frank and Char...

Welcome to the forum from another SoCal member! A few year ago my sister-in-law had good luck with selling her fifth wheel on Cragslist without any trouble. Of course timing can be a big factor in selling a big ticket item like a RV.

Good luck!
