We're the new owners of a 2015 Forest River SunSeeker 2700DS, formerly of Canadream vintage. Tag alongs, once we take possession, will include a spinning wheel, some wool, and a loom. Being flock-and-fiber oriented is a great Northwest tradition that simply adds one more element to an otherwise fine camping experience. We were tent campers as starving students then enjoyed pop-up camping (to contain a wandering infant) until maturing into TT camping. This being our first motorhome celebrates our foray into retirement. Blessings to all!

Hello and welcome from northern Arizona! Congrats on the new rig! Happy Camping!

youroo: We do have a dog; Duke the wonder dog. He's a sheltie we've trained
to herd sheep. Of course now he's branched out to herding chickens, ducks,
cats; you name it-he'll pen it. Yep, just yesterday we had a freshly shorn ewe
leap out of our small livestock trailer. It sailed right over my wife's head as
we were grabbing yet another one to shear. There's no end to the smart and
stupid things sheep do.

ChipBruce: Our lambs do engage in lively sprint races. They're good for
about 75 yards max, stop to rest (all the while huffing and puffing), then race
back to their starting point. They will keep this up for a good half hour.
Sometimes the ewes and rams join in on this celebration of life. At this point
the track & field games are really on complete with head butting and one-
upmanship! It's all such great entertainment!

aceinspp: Hey, Ace, I retired from King County Light Rail; technically as a
consultant but in reality worked as an electro-mechanic. Our propulsion was
electric with a 1500 VDC catenary. I also drove the Brandt high rail vehicle
(Big Truck on highway/puny train on rail) performing the rare dead-car-tow.
Both sides of my family were in Georgia during the Civil War; Hightower, and
Dallas Paulding. A long-term visit to Georgia is on my bucket list!

geeman53: Genealogy reveals a very close ancestral line of mine were
among the first USA settlers to reach Ohio, specifically Warren County.
We've traced my direct line back to South Carolina during that time frame.
Most likely both lines were Quakers, or less likely even Shakers. No one yet
has figured out the connection between the SoutherLees and the Warren County
Lees (we just know it exists via dna testing). Ohio and Warren County
beckons for a visit.

SeaDog: First off, thank you for your service SeaDog. The day I reported for
induction the center was run by all navy personnel. They requested 5
volunteers for the navy. After no one volunteered the man in charge pointed at
5 of us stating we were now in the Marine Corps. When he handed out the
paperwork he bypassed my seat and handed the Marine Corps papers to the guy
sitting behind me. Unbeknownst to me that fellow had shown up late. The
army had me pegged for door gunner training due to my weight, 119 Lbs. I
turned RA that day and got into a 1 year long signal corps school. A year later
to the day, I was selected for special assignment Vietnam; being sent over to
support the Cambodia incursion that Nixon had just announced. In my youthful
ignorance I didn't understand the significance between tactical and strategic.
The MOS I opted for was tactical in nature, ie, out in the field. I survived
Vietnam while my high school buddy, a navy enlistee, did not. So thank you
once again for the tenacity to continue through your full navy career. I was a
short timer. Salvador Dali could not have painted a more surreal canvas than
my army experiences.

We have camped in Idaho... somewhere between Harvard and Princeton
while our son was attending Wazoo. We combined our visits to Pullman with
camping in Idaho. Our very uncomfortable camper was a Ford Aerostar with
the fold down rear seats. That area they call The Palouse surely is one of the
prettiest we've ever seen, what with all the wheat fields, pine trees, rivers,
and lakes. The Palouse certainly has it all while still being light on
population. If ever there was a heaven on earth, it's got to be The Palouse!

Wiscampsin: I did some IT work for the cardiology department including a
very dedicated cardiology doctor at the UW in Seattle. His name is Dr.
Richard Page. He moved onward and upward to the UW-Madison there in
Wisconsin. If ever you need a cardiologist, Dr. Page is there and he's among
the best of the best in the whole US.

jgourlie: Bon jour a tout jgourlie! Ma femme, elle s'appelle Carol, elle est une
professeure du Frances a l'ecole Thomas Jefferson ici sur Auburn, a l'etat du
Washington. Aussi, elle est la directrice du Baccalaureate International a sa
l'ecole. S'il vous plaît, pardonnez moi pour mon médiocre definitive a Frances,
j'ai besoin de plus entraînement. Obviously I am trying to impress with what
little French I know. Carol is so much better at it that I hardly get a (French)
word in edgewise. Toward the end of summer we are flying into Toronto for a
few days of IB conference. Carol yearly takes students to Vancouver, BC, to
receive awards for French proficiency. I believe it's the Alliance Francaise
group that sponsors those awards. There is also the presumption on our part
that most Canadians are Francophones, which regionally may not be the case.
I have ideas for taking the Tsawwassen ferry over to Vancouver Island in BC.

pt1655: You know PT, my wife and I are both native Zonies. Carol is from
Superior, a (shaft) copper mining town, while I am from Buckeye; a used- to-be
cow town which is now a distant suburb of Phoenix, so I hear. Before going
off to the army, dad and I built a 2-bedroom house along the lower west slope
of Mt. Union near to Hassayampa creek(~ 6K ft. elevation). We would turn our
horses loose on open range there in Chino Valley just to get them out of the
heat of the desert. Even then they'd get a little sunburned so you couldn't ride
'em. Paulden is just a few steps north of Chino. I cruised Gurley street a time
or two there in Prescott. Yep, Yavapai county. Last time we were there was in
1980, quite a while ago. As kids my brother and I figured out the geographical
center of Arizona. The nearest town, if you can believe this, to the geo-center
of Arizona is Camp Verde. So you're closer to being in central Arizona yet
still in the upper climes. Slightly left of center, which is not a bad position
politically speaking.

I appreciate you sharing French with me. It has been 15 years since I was living in Quebec and speaking French on the regular. I have forgotten most of what I learned as I don't get a chance to speak French at all living in Alberta. I was never any good at writing in French and was just ok at speaking.
