Greetings from the UK!

Hi All!
Found this forum whilst 'researching' for my new 5th wheel.
We have lived full time in our RV - an 'A' class Coachmen Mirada for 10 months, and recently changed to a 5th wheel - a used Keystone Challenger 34TLB. Being 'amazed' by the space we got - decided to buy a new one! We tow with a Ram 3500 Dually.

Have now ordered a Cedar Creek 34RLSA with all the options - to be shipped to the UK in time for us to head off to Spain for the winter - then probably up into France, and who knows where!

I got an early retirement package from the UK Police (..not bad at 46!) which will allow us to travel full time! I am also part owner of a Brewery - hence the name!
(....livin' the dream!!!)

I'm sure we will find this resource useful (am active on a UK forum - RVOC - RV Owners Club) - glad to meet you all - in a 'virtual' way !!!

Dave & Jackie

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Cedar Creek 34RLSA!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what you write, it truly does look like you're 'living the dream'!

Also, congratulations to you and your countrymen for the fantastic 2012 London Olympic Games! Fortunately, NBC who covered the games here included many varied glimpses into the UK; geography, culture and social life, history, and recent developments which I feel greatly enhanced the whole event for us. It was truly "The Greatest Show on Earth", and we were sorry to see it conclude last night, as it seemed to be over all too soon.

We wish you the happiest of trails; safe journeys, and a pleasant tour this winter en Espana!

Dios va con ustedes!

Hi Dave and Jackie welcome to the forum. I'm a Brit (Yorkshire) and the wife is a Canadian and we now live in BC but lived in Algarve Portugal for many years, we still have a house there in Monchique and we will be there in February and March 2013, so if you are in the Algarve at that time let me know and come for a BBQ, (you bring the beer)

The Algarve sees many folks escaping the European winter, favourite free camping is at Silves, Alvor, Sagres and Lagos, all very interesting locations, I guess you will know about these places from the UK forum you subscribe to.

I have only ever seen two fifth wheels in Spain/Portugal, one was at Jerez at the race track where F1 hold their winter practice, the other on its way to Sagres.

All the best with your new rig
