Greets from central FL

Greetings all,

Wife and I are waiting to take delivery on our first TT, a small rockwood 185RB. We were going to get the hardside popup, but we found this one for a few thousand less and the wife wanted it for the bathroom.
We have done alot of tent camping and are getting to old ( at 47 ) to be sleeping on the ground or on air mattresses so it's time for a camper.
We mostly like to go hiking in nature often for entire day journey with backpacks and gear etc. So we just need a small camper to come back to for sleeping etc. We are really excited and can't wait to go camping all over FL first then out elsewhere. My brother in law also bought a large toy hauler at same time so we are going to go places and have lots of fun.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as we're all RV beginners.

I've been reading here for a couple weeks already, lots of good info and people helping.

Thanks,

John Thorpe

Welcome. You will find plenty of people to answer your questions. You may also get a common infection from people around here to modify your trailer to add a few more features or conveniences. It's easy to catch.

Hey neighbor, we're just down the road a bit. I too did tent camping till the mid-40's and decided sleeping on the ground was for younger people. You will love having a camper, and there are tons of places in Florida to enjoy. We've been talking about going over to Blue Springs Park near you this year. When you're ready for a longer destination, I suggest the Cherokee, NC area.

Thanks.
We're well versed in FL locations and have frequented Blue Springs since I was a kid
We also have property just over the mountains into TN from Ashville, NC. We are looking forward to exploring all that area.
We're booked for Manatee campground in Titusville for Labor Day coming up for our shakedown camp. I think we'd like to try FL trail and Appalachian trail sometime soon as well.
