Happier Camper

Hello all,

My name is John and my wife's name is Nancy. We live in Southern California between LA & San Diego. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, we drove up to Oregon and purchased a new 2011 Forest River SP240 Travel Trailer. I'll have to say that it was pretty exciting towing it home over the mountain passes with the snow, sleet, ice, etc.!!! Believe it or not, we tow with a Toyota Tacoma 2wd with a V-6. And it does just fine!

We now love camping even more than we used to, when we had a pop-up tent trailer! Most of the camping we do is along the coast, and some inland trips to the mountains.

I stumbled upon this forum, and absolutely love the information found here.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

John & Nancy Dotson

to the forum John and Nancy.

Glad you made it back from Oregon safe and sound. I hope you have many more enjoyable trips, just without all the extra mother nature stuff!

Post some pics when you get a chance.

Merry Christmas, Good Luck and Happy Camping!

Welcome!!! Glad you made it home safely. I guess here in eastern Canada we don't think about Californians encountering snow etc. but we forget about the mountain passes and such. Merry Christmas from the Old Guys.
