Hello

I am new to how forums work as I never was part of one. My name is Tony I am traveling the warmer climates in an Ice House which brings many questions on what is that. I have a question about how to open the compartment to maintain the AC unit air filter. I see the exterior but find no obvious means to open the compartment.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. Without know what AC you have its hard to give you any help. What is an "Ice House" My first thought was a house used on a lake for Ice fishing lol

Ice house

it is a trailer to pull on the lake when frozen with fishing holes in the floor. Heavily insulated. I was in Florida last week and as it sits on the ground il looks different. I took a photo of the AC it is a Dometic brand.
