Hello

Hey,
Retired military and new to camping. We pick up our Geo Pro 16BH on Thursday in Maryland and heading straight to a campsite in Virginia Beach. What should I be worried about? Thank you.
Best,
Ant

from SC and thank you for your service. Only thing I would be worried about is the traffic!

Welcome, congrats & thank you for your service. Since you're retired military, you can stay at military campgrounds.

In Virginia Beach we stay at Sea Mist at the Dam Neck Annex. It's right on the beach. Ask for the new section.

Welcome to the forum, Honestly, I have no idea what a Geo Pro 16BH is. That being said; I'm sure you paired it well with your tow vehicle and you have the basic needs such as a fresh water hose and waste line, etc. There is nothing else to "worry " about. You will make mistakes, we all have. You will wish you had this or that, and ask yourself why did I bring that, I never used it. All the miscues are the learning experience and rarely fatal. Enjoy the new rig and your well deserved retirement, God Bless, Ken

Thank you all. We survived our first trip but the conversion van wasn’t too happy pulling the camper in 95 degree heat with the air conditioning on. The awd van is rated to pull way more than our camper weighs, and the handling was great, but she stuggled up hills.

Sounds like someone is in the market for a new tow vehicle now... We will be staying at First Landing State Park the second week of Sept, just north of Virginia Beach and thanks for your service as well.

Antfort,

Welcome! We just got back into RV'ing after a 22 year hiatus. We're retired military as well. Our maiden voyage was to Sea Mist in Damneck. We had a great stay; great neighbors, 4 minute walk to the beach and nice facilities. All for a fraction of the price of the commercial campgrounds.
