Hello

Just joined today. We bought our "new" 2000 T2306 Rockwood Ultra Lite a few weeks ago and had our "shake down" trip at a dog show at Sampson State Park on Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes, NY State. We are leaving in 6 weeks for an 18 day trip from webster, NY to Denver, CO and back with several stops in-between. We (husband Greg and I) travel with 4 Irish Setters, no kids. Greg is a HUGE Springsteen fan and part of the trip will be to go to concerts as well as visiting friends. I'd love any tips on traveling in cold weather as we might run into some of that in Colorado in November.

to the forums and congrats on your new-to-you T2306 Rockwood! If you have any questions please do ask. Also as you browse the site you should come across threads and posts relating to tips for cold weather. I'm in SoCal where it's still summer with 105 temps.

Happy traveling!

Hello and welcome also. I was born and raised in Henrietta. I just hope you will not encounter any cold weather (or worse) between Webster and Denver during your trip.

Hi Robin, and welcome to the forums.
The big thing I've noticed so far in cool/cold weather is the condensation. It is definitely not your RV's friend. Or yours.
You want adequate ventilation (roof vent + a window slightly open).
Presumably you'll be staying in places with electricity so make the most of that -use electric heat rather than burning propane.
You want air movement (warm air movement) happening.

That's what I've seen thus far with my unit. No doubt someone more knowledgable will be along shortly with better tips.
You'll be fine.
