Hello

We are looking to buy our very first RV, a toy hauler to be exact. I'm trying to do my due diligence in researching the various brands of toy haulers that offer adequate insulation. This narrows down our toy hauler choices significantly.

So, I'm interested in perusing this forum to learn all I can about Forest River, but specifically the XLR Thunderbolt with the Arctic Package. This is the only FR toy hauler I can find with the substantial R-40 in the roof and floor, and R-24 in the slide outs. So, my second post will be looking for reviews from owners of this RV.

I am grateful for forums like this where prospective buyers can get valuable feedback and info before dumping a lot of money into a depreciating asset, so thank you to the owners!

Hello!

A 2003 F350 with a 6.0L Powestroke. It's not a dually.

Don't forget to do the math before you make a deal. Make sure your tv has the hauling capacity with an extra margin of comfort and safety for you an your family. A nice comfortable safe drive is much better than a WHITE KNUCKLE nightmare. IMHO Check the link below.

Hello and welcome to the FR Forums! You are on a great start by doing the homework before buying. So many people buy first then ask questions afterwards which doesn't often work out best for the new owner.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome.

I know. You are right about that. I definitely don't want to make the wrong choice since this is such a huge commitment.
