Hello All, I'm a newbie

Hi everyone ,
I am a new (Used) RV owner, 1 1/2 months now. Already had our 1st outing. 7 nights 8 days at the local State Park. We knew nothing about travel trailers, just that I wanted one so we could take our dogs with us and they would be secure while we went and acted like tourist. We wanted to make sure everything worked and we weren't too far from the house and didn't look too stupid trying to figure stuff out. Everything was fine until the mud dobbers showed up and I covered all the vents on the side of the trailer. The next day our fridge quit working. I went to the headquarters so I could get internet to my computer and found that fridges need lots of ventilation. Husband thought that sounded silly, but we took all the tape off and.. walla....fridge started working again. The vents are now covered with screen to keep the lil critters out.
The main reason I signed up for this forum was because I was trying to find a manual...apparently that isn't going to happen. Thanks to this forum for letting me know it is just a generic manual!!
What I want to know is, I havebunkbeds and the bottom one looks like it should fold up to be a couch, but the things on the side wont lock to make it stay up. What am I doing wrong? Thanks and I think I will enjoy this forum if I don't continue to overload my text block!!!!!

Yup, year make and model would help. Also easiest to snap a picture to show what you're looking at.
If its a Jack knife couch, lifting on the front of the seat and pushing back at the same time would lock it up.
Congrats on the new to you camper and HAppY CAMPIN!

Have a new Question. My lil Fold down Couch /Bed Is Horrible. I would like to replace with a double recliner. Is this possible in my 2008 Cherokee Lite 28A? WOuld it be too heavy for the slide? The one I am looking at weights 78lbs. Would it interfere with the motor on the slide? Is it difficult to remove the old couch/bed? Thanks, Doghouse

you should be asking some of these questions in the Cherokee sub-forum. there are a number of 28A owners there that could be of better assistance.
