Talking Hello Everyone,

Found this forum yesterday and so far I'm excited at all the information is here. Seems like a wonderful place with lots of people that really know what they are talking about.

About me, Married to a wonderful man that has cheated death twice so far.
1st time was Kidney Cancer, 2nd time was a major heart attack. Now, he's healthy and is doing really well.

We just recently bought our first camper. Elcheapo (EXTREME) by most peoples standards but with high hopes of upgrading ASAP. Anything is an upgrade from my little pop-up. But for no more than what we gave for, it is in near mint condition, so it will have to do us for at least 2-3 years. Maybe by then someone here that has my dream RV will want to upgrade and I'll do my best to buy your used 293.

I'm dreaming (Ok - more like drooling) of a Surveyor 293 sport. I'm in LOVE I tell ya! This past week I was in to walk through it 3 times. If I don't back off the dealer is going to start charging me rent as much as I'm there.

Honestly the odds of me getting my dream RV is slim to none, but I have to have hope. I'm so jealous of everyone here that has managed to get their dream camper. I keep hoping that I'll hit the lottery. Almost did once. Got 5 out of 6 numbers once.

Anyhow, I'm glad to know that this place is here. I'll be doing a lot of reading.

to FRF. It's good to hear your husband is doing well. As for the dream, you're like the rest of us. We gradually worked our way up from 2 years sleeping on the ground to 18 years in a tent, to 2 -1/2 years in a pop-up to 5 years in a hybrid trailer until we got to the motorhome. We just got back from the Hershey PA RV Show and did some dreaming over the weekend. As for the lottery, I already have my plans made if they'd just pick the right numbers but some people are just not with it.

to the Forums. It doesn't matter what you camp in, it matters that you enjoy it. So have a great time with your pop-up.

Another warm welcome here.

Like cfsoistman, we have gradually working our way up. Started with tent camping, then a homemade truck camper, popup, Trailmanor, and now our SV 263. A Class B+, C, or small A is our intended final destination.

Welcome and I agree with Hokiehall. As long as you're having fun... My wife and I are on our first upgrade from tent to Hybrid. Absolutely love our 21SS ROO but look at all the other rigs while camping. Had a couple come to our site last trip and drueled over the ROO as they are tent campers looking to upgrade. Enjoy the tranquility and friendly people and the upgrade will come. Think our next jump will be a big one to a fiver.

Welcome to the forum. Like so many others here we started in tents and then to a PUP that we had for 7 years. It was a BIG step up for us. After that we moved into a HTT in 2008 and really enjoy it. Who knows maybe the future holds a TT for us. There is tons of info here in the forum and always something of interest to read.

We too started in a tent when getting out on our own many years ago. The DW's parents started the camping bug for her with all kinds of different rigs including semi perm placed park models at the shore in Rehobeth Beach and that's where I got the bug too. We then got married and tented for years until this year when we jumped straight to a Wildwood Toyhauler. We are loving it.

The smiles and happiness it brings will help the healing and go a long way to keeping you healthier. We hope you find many hours of enjoyment from your rig.
