Hello Everyone! Yep thats right another new guy!!!!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hello and pass on that I love this forum and have learned a great amount while staying glued to all the different threads!! Wonderful Wonderful forum. I must admit I studied long and hard and finally decided and purchased a 2011 Cherokee Grey Wolf 28BH. We absolutely love it. My TV is a 2004 chevy tahoe. This is the first camper we have ever owned so this is all an exciting adventure for me and my family. So stay tuned for funny mishaps, good times and good pictures! Thanks everyone from the east coast !!!!!

Lots of good people on here willing to help with any problem you may come across.

I hope you and your family have a great time this summer with that new trailer. Looking forward to your pics and you don't have to be new at this to experience funny mishaps!

Good luck and happy camping!

Thank you all for the well wishes! I must say I can't wait to get into some major camping. I have been looking at several of the state parks and most look really nice. Some with full hook ups some not. I have also looked at several resort areas and those seem to have the campers stacked on top of each other! Not so sure I will like that, but anyway, again thank you all for the welcome!

Welcome to a unique lifestyle! Once you get bit by the bug it only gets worse, you look for reasons to camp. State parks can be really a treat, lots of space & usually easier to get into. Good luck.

Yea the state parks look to me very roomy, we haven't made our maiden voyage yet but it will be soon! I am in SC. Based on the internet research there is several right in my back yard to visit. I have also been practicing with my rig, I am getting more comfortable each time I hook up and go for a spin, my tahoe seems to handle everything very well, good power, good braking, we shall see when we hit the mountains. Funny I have found myself putting together a camper bucket list! Too funny!!!

I just bought a new 2011 greywolf 26bh, been camping over 25 years and always had a good time, i just hope everything goes fine with the new camper, but i did buy the fr extra year warranty for $150.00 i think it was a great price for a extra year. Have fun and enjoy it.

Welcome and hope you enjoy your camper. Where in SC are you . I was raised in a small town 25 miles south of greenville.

Hey Bill and Theresa, say you were raised south of greenville, I am located right outside of Columbia. Hey does your Silverado pull your camper okay?
Im pulling my camper with a 2004 Tahoe. Seems to handle it okay, not a power house but does okay.

My silverado does a nice job. It only has 234000 miles and still does not use any oil. Just returned from a trip to destin fla by way of SC to visit mom. had no issues with the truck.

Now that's what I call a good truck! I sure hope I get that kind of mileage out of my Tahoe! How much does the camper weight? Mine shakes out at about 5500 lbs so Tahoe handles it pretty good, not a power house for sure but handles it okay.

I have the rockwood ultra light 8313. according to truck stop scales it weighs 6800 lbs loaded the way we camp. The truck has the heavy duty tow package.3.73 gears and 5.3 v8. gets 20 MPG alone and 9 towing. It has been a good one. Its rated to tow 7500 lbs.

Yep that's the same package my Tahoe has, 3.73 rear-end and a 5.3. Wow 9 mph towing huh! Geese, that's exactly what I can expect, cause I have gotten 20 on the highway with it. You have one of those weight distribution hitches with a anti sway system? That's what I bought with the camper and it all seems to work really well.

would not travel without the WD hitch and I have one friction anti sway and a decent brake controller
