Hello forest river owners

Hello everyone. I am at Perry Lake State Park outsideTopika Kansas enjoying the long weekend. I signed up in an attempt to solve some issues with my 5 month old unit. I need to find a GOOD dealership for some service issues. The Grain Valley MO Camping World dealership has the worst service department of ANY business I have ever known.
I hope each of y'all are enjoying some free time in the paradise of your choosing.

Tuck

it helps if you post year/make/model of RV that you have, since you don't have it in your signature line.

Hi. I take my 2013 Surveyor SV305 to Olathe Ford RV in Gardner, KS. They are a great bunch to work with!

We've bought both of our trailers from OlatheRV and the service center is great. They took care of a outdoor kitchen door issue we had under warranty and got us in and out in a couple of hours on a Saturday. Renee in sales is a lot of good help too.

Our only complaint with OlatheRV is that we live 190 miles away... Wish they were closer to us!

Thank you. My trailer is also a 2013. Olathe is MUCH closer as well. Im im Ft Leavenworth. Ill call them in the future. My current problem SHOULD be covered under warranty so I think I'm stuck with Camping World for a while. If they ever decide to answer their phones, perhaps i can get my radio fixed and take my paying business to Olathe. Thanks again.

I really don't think you have to take your RV to where you bought it for warranty work, unless you bought a very restrictive extended warranty. Warranty is from the manufacturer.

Did I miss what your problem was? Being new to camping it may be an easy fix over the forum.

I never mentioned the problem here. My Genesis AV unit isnt working right. It had nlown a main fuse but now the DVD wont take DVD's in. It wont load DVD's. it also cooked the Sirius XM radio unit at some point despite the fact I have NEVER hooked up without my main surge protector. When I first turned the unit on, smoke oozed out of the sirius unit. When I drove 1 1/2 hours to the dealership they held my trailer for a month and a half then told me the sirius wont work until you set up an account. If you have a sirius XM, you know you start a service by turning thebunit on. The dealership is terrible. Thats all.
