We're just north of Mobile.

There are a lot of good places to camp near you. We've been to a few places near B-ham.

Been to Destin once already, and planning more trips there.
Used to drop $2500 a trip on a condo over there.
So with one trip we've already saved the equivalent of 11 payments on the travel trailer.
We have a big trip out west planned next month.

We are from North West Florida also known as "L. A." (lower Alabama) We love to go to The Corps of engineer parks around the Montgomery area. With the senior pass the federal parks sell, $10.00, you pay for the pass on the first day of camp savings. cost for camp at Maxwell Gunner is 22.00 with the pass it is 11.00. after that, the rest is great savings. Alabama is a WONDERFUL state to travel around in. Then venture a little south and east and enjoy our beaches. Welcome to the camping family here at FROG.

We too visit a lot of COE (Corps of Engineers) parks around the state. We've been to Tannehill park outside Birmingham and to a few parks near Montgomery. We've been to Gunter Hill a few times.

We're going to Bama-Ganza in October. There's a thread just about it here.

Welcome from a Georgia member, although I was raised in Montevallo... so I know exactly where Helena is. Both DW and I are from Alabama originally, and have camped in several Alabama State Parks.
