Hello from balmy upstate NY

Hey everyone we just purchased a new Solaire 307qbdsk. Me and my wife have four awesome boys and we love to camp. We started out with a pop-up but that was a little tight for six people. At the end of the 2012 summer season we bought our first ever brand new camper which was a Coyote 23cfk. Unfortunately we had nothing but problems with it. A bunk leaked, the Fresh water tank leaked, the toilet was leaking and the grill fell off bracket and all. Then to top it off we had water coming in from somewhere. The dealer fixed everything right away except for the recurring leak nobody could figure it out. Finally after about six attempts I had enough. The dealer took it back in trade and gave us back exactly what we paid for it and gave us a good deal on the solaire. We haven't used it yet but looking forward to spring. Also kinda looking forward to not sleeping under a canvas anymore lol. This looks like a great forum with lots of good people so I can't wait to share info and good stories with everyone. Thanks and God bless.

Balmy indeed, with more of the same coming. Welcome to the forum. Having camped in a popup with 3 boys, I'm sure you're happy to have some more space.

Welcome and congrats on your new Solaire 307qbdsk. Nice of your dealer to take your Coyote back in trade and give you back exactly what you paid for it.

Best of luck with the new RV. Pretty cold downstate too. Westchester county here. Have lots of family up past you in schroon lake and have camped in your area many times. You've got lots of great c/g's so close I'm a bit jealous.
We went the same route started with the pop up, moved on to the hybrid in 07 in 11 went to a full fledged travel trailer and this year went to a 5th wheel itching for some warm weather to bust it out of storage and use it for the first time!

Best of luck!!

Best of luck with the new camper. Wifey and I spent two seasons with three small kids in a pop-up and boy it was cramped....especially in rainy weather. it did get us into camping and onto a larger TT and now a fiver. it's all good.

There is a lot of great campgrounds up here. Schroon Lake is beautiful that's where we do most of our camping. We go to the state park called Scaroon Manor. We love it up there.

Congratulations!! With all this cold weather I am daydreaming about getting on the road in the spring! Can't wait. In the meantime trying to escape to Florida for the Tampa rv show to see what's new.
