Hello from beaumont, so-cal

My name is Mike and my wifes name is Jeanne. We have been camping for 35 yrs with pop ups and we finally just bought a 24' Forest River wildwood xlite. I had to remove a 45' palm tree, 11 yards of concrete to make a spot to park the trailer and change the gearing in my 4x4 from 3.42 to 4.10 so I could tow it easily.I feel I'm going to need these forums to help me with some of the modifications I will be doing such as moving the TV to a different spot. I'm picking the trailer up this saturday and next saturday we're leaving for the Grand Canyon for a week.Kind of scary considering I've never towed a travel trailer. Anyway Hello everyone. Mike

Hi Mike and welcome to the forums! I'm in SoCal too (Riverside County) so we aren't too far from each other.

A bit of driveway camping can be helpful. It's a good way to get and know your trailer before hitting the road. I wished I had thought about it when I took delivery of my TT.

Take care.
