Welcome to the forum. We are about 3 hours south of you. Sounds like you are ready to boondock...just need to find a place. Is there anywhere close to Hogan Lake that you can use as a "test" run?

Hey there

to the forums, probably not as where I am at, 108 today and 104 for the rest of week, but I am looking forward to this weekend, heading up to Julian to cool down.

It was low 80's in Santa Cruz....just lovely!!

Terier, I'll post more places later, as I remember them...getting old stinks. We're going to jenkinson lake on labor day weekend.
Sad thing is, we've got 4 lakes within 20 minutes drive from us, but its too hot to camp close...we need coastal, or high mountains until it cools off.

Hi Mark & Linda!

Hi Bob, we're 10 minutes away from Hogan Lake. Too hot here now. We haven't camped there yet, but did utilize the dump station, which I think was only 5 or 6 bucks.

Hi Night Stone! You up in Redding area?

We're in San Joaquin Valley, smack down in the middle of it, although Redding's temps are better than here atm or coastal climates

We have camped at Lake McClure a few times and enjoyed it. Only lake I have been on that has a outhouse raft in the middle of the lake.
