Hello from California

Hello Fellow Members!

We bought a new 2012 Surveyor SV305 35 ft Eco-lite edition around seven months ago. Beautiful Coach, and we love it except there is very low air flow coming out of the ducts and it has a hard time keeping the coach cool in 80 degree weather. The air that does come out of the ducts is very cold but just not enough air flow. It has a 15K air conditioner. It is currently at the repair shop and under warranty but they are saying that there is nothing wrong with it. This is our 3rd coach and our previous coach was a 31 ft Jayco which we never had a problem cooling it and it had a 13.5 btu AC. We spoke to the service manager, he said all duct work was fine and not obstructed or collapsed. They are taking a second look. Has anyone had this issue before? Any Suggestions?

Welcome to the forum!

Check to see if the bypass is opened, up next to the a/c air filter, this allows most of the air to blow back into the living area and not thru the ducts. Just a suggestion.

Also ask a question in the sub-forums under the General Tech and Repair section. There are a lot of RV'ers watching this forum!

My trailer has low flow with the bypass closed as well. Hopefully someone has a good solution. I was thinking a second unit might be the answer. Hoping not. But it is what it is.

I will check the bypass and I have posted it under the sub-forum General Tech and repair. Thanks for that great tip! ( I am still learning how to navigate thru this forum.)
