Hello from central Illinois

Bought new Berkshire (2014) 390fl xlt. After the Labor day weekend going west for 2 weeks. Sure hope this unit is better than the Thor Serrano I traded in (2012). That unit had issues every time I took it out.
My first MH was a 2007 Georgetown. It was far superior to the Thor in quality. One learns the hard lessons on products sometimes. I sure hope
this Berkshire is everything I am expecting.
Nice to have a group of Forest River folks willing to help. This is good.

Funny you say what you did about Thor. I traded a Thor Palazzo 2013 (POS) for my 390 FL 2014 Berkshire.

I had four slide failures in 22 month on the Palazzo along with several other issues.

The Berkshire has been flawless. Compressor went out on Frig. Whirpool fixed that. Hot water heater is a big learning curve but it doing ok now.

You will love the Berkshire. Good luck. I've had mine a year now.

The Thor's service from first trip was a horrible experience. The rear seal leaked qt every 50 miles and from Aspen to Moab I made 4 stop to put in a qt. Mind you it had 900 miles on it. Saturday's Factory help line was of no use at all. Moab repair bill was 550 dollars, I was reimbursed. Beautiful place to get repairs done for 3 days.
Left Moab and 70 miles south the engine died. Did this 3 times and International had me "limp" to Durango, Co. Towed me to Farmington, NM the closest authorized repair dealer. Turned out 4 hose clamps on the egr cooling line were never tightened from factory. I was given a bill of 750 dollars for towing. Since I didn't order the the tow truck, I didn't have to pay. All this in 1200 miles. What an experience.

You will enjoy this one much more. We just changed out our L-couch to a double recliner couch with two end tables. Much more comfortable. Just two of us in coach most the time so works great for us

What brand is it? Looks like something I would consider. How is it attached to floor?

We had Lambrights in Shipshewana Indiana (Amish furniture builder) build it for us.

Right now I haven't attached it to floor. It did not move around on the way home. Not much to attach it to!! I have mounted two toggle bolts to the floor. Im waiting on the two small cabinets to get redone. Then I'll mount those --then bolt down with the two toggle bolts.

I will make this first run out west and test unit. I am not impressed with the L which was totally redone 2 weeks ago in Elkhart. Had to remove the drivers window to get it out. I am pretty handy with a sawzall haha.

Removed whole L sectional and repaired frame. Was bent and the slider fabric was worn thru. Evidently its one piece?

L sectional slider was warped and fabric worn through. I guess its one piece to remove driver window? They rebuilt what I had instead of new replacement as was told new one would warp too in time.

I noticed driver side front slide now is not sealing in the middle of pop out. Looks like the lower frame wasn't screwed in a straight line. Center is about 1.25'' out of alignment. It's a big slide out and the seal you can put your fingers behind when totally closed. Don't believe it's warped. Few kinks to get fixed.
