Hello from Central Texas

Going to try our maiden voyage local this weekend. We have added 11 feet and 2 more slides to our camping, so may need lots of help with all the new fandangle toys that need figuring out. Hope we are up for this- we aren't getting any younger..............

Stop it already. Rubbing it in. That great feeling of the first run with a new toy. Have fun.

Hope you have a great weekend. We are also from Central Texas (Lorena) and just bought a new trailer about a month ago and have really enjoyed it so far.

SSharp,
Just bought a 2014 Lacrosse 327 Our maiden voyage was 5 miles away at Midway park on a cold windy weekend, but had a great time. We haul kayaks and bikes, so like to be around lakes and rivers or reclaimed railroad tracks made into hike and bike trails.

Lets see, that is 2 more slides to fail to retract or extend and 22' more side wall to delaminate given time.

Good thing your not getting younger, as patience comes with age......LOL!!!!!!

Congratulations on the new RV, may you have many happy fond memories in your future.

Hey Pipers, my wife and are planning on camping in Dallas/Ft. Worth area this summer. Do you have any suggestions. Of nice camp grounds? Probably will be in June.

Camping / Texas

We really enjoy the U S Army Corps of Engineer parks. They are on lakes and the spaces are far enough apart so you don't feel stacked on top of each other.

If you join their senior group you can camp for half of the regular price.

Check out www.recreation.gov

Welcome aboard from South Central Tejas. Hope you have better weather for your next outing. 70s today makes me want to hitch up and go, but we'll wait until March and head out for the coast.

Grapevine has a nice park on the lake, and there are cute shops nearby. We also like corp parks and being away from towns. Not sure about any other parks- but I think we stayed at a nice one near Aledo. If you have kids- my brother likes the big fun one in Burleson. We go for quiet and scenic ............. guess that shows our age.

Welcome from North Texas, Cleburne to be exact, we are 30 mi south of Ft Worth. Don't know why they call this area north Texas, I lived in Amarillo for 26 years, now that is North Texas.
