Smile Hello from Colorado

My husband and I are anxiously awaiting our new Rockwood 2304S. We should receive it next week. The RV is being delivered so we will not go through the walk thru in person. Has anyone gone through the video walk thrus and, if so, have they been helpful? I enjoy this forum and have already gotten several good tips. Looking forward to joining you!

Welcome to the forum!

Imo I would not make final payment till a VERY thorough pdi is completed to your satisfaction.
A pdi is your way of finding things wrong or not quite right with your unit.

I would not take delivery without a pdi no way no how.
Basically its your word against theirs if there is an issue.

If this is your first camper I'd recommend a personal walk thru imo.

Blub blub, You'll need a boat not an RV. Lots of campgrounds closed north of Denver. It's quite wet here. 500 year flood in North Denver and Boulder.

Pic is of Park by the house, nice walking path and bridge.

GarbonZ, Our daughter lives in Lakewood (works at the Elephant Bar Restaurant) and she is keeping us posted she says it's quite a mess with flooded streets etc.

Welcome to the forum robind78 and congrats on your new Rockwood 2304S. I fully 2nd turbs comments on the PDI. It's the only way you're assured everything is as it should be, or documented it will be fixed if it isn't. Hope your safe from the flooding.

Welcome Robind78..... Hopefully, you're not affected by the 500 year flooding.

My friends in Estes Park are in a heluva mess......

I'm a full timer, but when asked where I'm FROM, it's always Colorado!!!

Lived in the Wet Mountain valley (Westcliffe/Silvercliffe area) which is one valley east of the San Luis Valley.

Humpday..... YEAH!!!

Welcome!

We own a 2011 2304S and love it. PM me if you have questions. We live in Arvada and are amazed at the amount of water everywhere. Lived here 38 years and never saw anything like this. Guess the drought is over.

Welcome and congrats on the new 2304S. Must be a popular model... we just got ours a couple weeks ago. We are having fun stocking it with "necessities" and planning our maiden voyage. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

I've been to the elephant bar and work about 2 miles from there. Nice place. Lakewood was kinda spared the worst of it, which happened up north a bit. Pretty weird. Roads closed all over the place in low spots when the rivers undermined them.

We are in Arvada to, and had a evacuation notice last night. We are pretty high and so stayed home but the North south road out on the west side of town are a mess.

Thanks for all the advice and warm welcomes. We have family members who live in Lyons, Colorado, and they cannot get out. The road was washed out and the river is 100 feet wide, covering all of their lower yard. Luckily, they live up high on their property so their houses were not lost. This is truly a devastating time for all the folks who have been affected by this 100 year flood. I am happy about getting our new RV, but this tragedy kind of trumps that.
