Hello From Cowboys Country!

Hi Ya'll,
Just wanted to send out a quick thread to the FR folks. Turning 55 this year and celebrating with what I hope to be the start of another chapter in my life with my lovely bride. Kids are grown now, married with a a 2 year old grandaughter and another one on the way. We are looking at buying our first motorized RV; the 2013 Georgetown 351DS with the bunks. The wife loves all the room and the residential fridge and of course she loves having a lot of family around so this coach should fit the bill nicely. We've rented a 32' class C before (way too much movement/sway for the wife), but this will be a new experience for me in driving a Class A. We don't anticipate being full timers yet; mainly long weekends and the yearly 2 week summer vacation to destinations unknown and hopefully decided at the last minute.
Just looking forward to meeting some of you along the way and learning as much as I can from the veterans of RV'ing both here in the forum and hopefully in and around this great country of ours.
Would love to hear from ya'll about your personal experience with the 351 DSor any tips and tricks to get the most out of the RV experience. I plan on spending a lot of time here with FR Forum. And if ya'll ever want to head down here to Texas and see a Cowboys game and share a story or two; I'm 15 minutes away from "Jerry World".
Brand new to the forum so if I've broken any rules here, please let me know that as well, experience and practice are great teachers! Vern

Welcome Vern. I'm just down the road a bit, just north of Houston. Glad to have you aboard. I am a Cowboys fan also, well, trying to be anyway. They are making it awful difficult! Went to a game at the new stadium a couple of years ago. Wow....what a magnificent place.

Anyway, welcome again, and hope to see you on the road!

Welcome to the forums!

Thanks for reminding me that Dallas has a NFL team...I'd forgotten about that in recent years.

Welcome to the FRF! Looking forward to hearing more about your experience so feel free to share. Renting is a great way to find out what works for you and what can be checked off the list but so many people learn this a bit too late.

Happy camping!

No thanks needed - a lot of people in Dallas/Fort Worth are trying to forget that
