Hello from Dallas, TX

My wife, our 4 month old son, and myself just purchased our first Travel Trailer ever! We purchased a 2016 Cherokee 264L. We have owned this trailer for about a month now and recently took it for our first trip to San Antonio, TX. We had a blast!!! We are already planning our next trip. We will be posting several rookie questions over time so please be patient with us as we learn this lifestyle. We have quickly learned that things aren't as easy to figure out as they seem, but with the power of youtube and this forum I'm sure we will figure it out quickly!

Welcome from SoCal! Most of us were new to the world of RVing when we became RV owners. In the beginning I knew so little that it was a bit over whelming. In time I learned what I needed to know and became independent. You will do just fine. This forum is pretty friendly so please ask questions. Just select the forum best suited to the topic and our members will drop in to offer feedback.

Welcome from Wisconsin. Like Terier said, we were all new to this at one time. Lots of friendly, knowledgeable and helpful people here to lend advice.

We are loving getting to bring our son with us. The only downside is he starts getting frustrated if he is in his car seat for to long at a time. We are only able to travel about 300 miles a day leaving first thing in the morning stopping for a long lunch and then finishing up by about 6pm. The older he gets the easier it will be but for now he is loving us carrying him around the walking trails so he can see what is going on in the world

Welcome from Rowlett! I was telling DH not too long ago that I sure wish we'd gotten some kind of travel trailer when the kids were little. Think we missed out on some fun memories with them. Glad you are starting while you still have a little one at home!
