Hello from Doheny SB

We traded in the old tent trailer yesterday for a new 22' forester, found a beach front site at Doheny today, and are wondering why we didn't do it sooner! Happy New Year to all.

Congratulations on the new rig and especially congrats on getting a beach front site at Doheny! Those are hard to come by!

Welcome to FRF and congrats on the new Forester too! Great way to start the new year with a bit of beach camping. I wish I were there too! The beach isn't as cold as the IE. Ditto about the beach front sites being hard to come by. What site do you have? I have reservations for Doheny in March for a beach front site.

There's a FROG rally in the works for Southern California in late May @ Hemet. Hopefully there will be more information coming soon.

Here's the link to check it out:

We have site 92. Great last minute find for sure.
It's funny how SoCal makes you a weather wimp ... We tailgated at Buffalo Bills games for years and now I'm freezing at 37 F! Glad to have a heater and solid walls

LOL - so true!

Many SoCal people don't dress correctly for colder weather. My winter collection includes socks and closed toes shoes. SoCal 4 seasons are:

Beach wear
Tank tops
T-shirts
Sweater or long sleeves

Some of the SoCal coldness is due to big changes in temperatures. The last two days were the coldest here (32 night) and in a few days it's expected to be 78.
