Hello From Georgia!

Hi All,

My wife and I are proud owners of a new 2017 VIBE 268rks since March 25. We took it on our maiden voyage the second week and spent it close to home at a nice Corps Of Engineers campground on Lake Allatoona here in Georgia for one week. We weathered a severe storm and hail about the size of marbles and learned to roll-up the awning at night in case the wind picks up. The temperatures bounced up and down like a yo-yo so we got to exercise every one of our trailer systems during the week: Furnace, AC, all plumbing, oven, stove, microwave, fridge, gas grill, outdoor kitchen, DVD player, and awning. Had one plumbing leak in the drain of the sink for the outdoor kitchen and I took it apart and re-seated the drain with some plumbers putty and she was good to go. The only system that did not function was the antenna feed - we could not pick up any channels while the other campers around us could get a dozen or so... Fixed that this week after troubleshooting and discovering that the cable and antenna Coax wires were reversed on the back of the booster amplifier. We had a great first experience and learned a few things: 1) need a tote-n-store to avoid having to break camp to dump tanks 2)need some improvements for taking better advantage of the storage available, etc.. Looking forward to sharing and reading about others' interesting experiences along the way. Happy RVing!

Welcome to the forum and the world of RVing. by now you have found out you need to be a little conservative when using water when not hooked to full hook ups. Takes a bit of practice. Yes you can purchase a tote so that you can drain tanks. Enjoy Later RJD
