Hello from Georgia (south Atlanta)

The wife and I are taking possession of a Forest River FW 8528IKWS (used 2013) in a week or so and I continue my reading to learn more to be prepared to inspect before purchase and maintain correctly after purchase. Planning to tow with a 2013 F250 6.7 powerstroke.

Any tips and/or advice would be appreciated.

Looking forward to joining the fun!

Welcome to the forum! Lots of great people here with good advice and tips! Used to live on the south side of Atlanta (Fayetteville) for over 20 years.

Welcome to the site.

Go to the forum Library and copy the PDI check list, take the list with you so both of you can fill one out then cross check each others list.

Ask tons of question and do not let them try to rush you.

Make sure everything works, heat some water in the micro.

Water heater bypass valves, make them show you where they are.

We loved our 2013 8528IWKS before trading it in last year. Only thing we added was a stabilizer at the front. Pulled it with a RAM 1500 5.7L Hemi so your truck should be perfect. Enjoy!!

Welcome from Lilburn! We, too, just traded for a new 8528RKWS and picked it up yesterday from Peco. Best wishes with your new rig!

Welcome and congrats! I love the big rear window. The fireplace is an great added feature. When the DW and I did our PDI we took a bottle of wine and took our time. The sales department thought it was great and left us alone to enjoy. While we turned knobs and pushed buttons they installed a hitch in the truck for free!!! We'll go back for our next RV for sure.
