Hello from hot hot Texas!

We just joined today because we bought our first Forest River FW yesterday. Can't wait to take delivery of it next Friday. Going to be a long wait anticipating our new beauty. We are so happy to have a found a used 2011 Cedar Creek 36RE. We've been travel trailer owners for 4 years and now switching to the FW. Looking forward to reading the form and chatting with everyone.

We're flirting with 100 today. I hate to see so much of the US map covered in all the hot weather. I'm ready to head to cooler temps. Where are they? LOL!

Since we are buying a used FW (only a year old) and is a more expensive unit, anyone have opinions on whether to get an extended warranty?

There is a thread here somewhere about this. Great opinions both ways.

I have one on my 5th wheel and the only thing that broke that I though should have been covered was not. The weasels will do ANYTHING not to pay. (IMHO) Since it is used, I am pretty sure they won't pay for anything (pre-existing clause). Not all that much on a 5th wheel that is a bank breaker. The most expensive repair is delamination and they will make SURE it was your fault. Save your money.

Feels like minus 50 here in BC we have to put the furnace on when we wake up in the morning. Seriously. Heading south on Saturday hopefully.

Pretty soon you guys will want to come visit us here in Florida during the summer to cool off. Don't forget to bring lots of cash to help keep Florida green!

Wow!! Can't even imagine those temps this time of year. Too bad that's too far north for us to travel. If I had tons of time off, I'd make that trip.

Wish you could send some of that fabulous weather our way. And some rain, we're in a drought here. Drought + heat = spend time in water swimming, tubing, skiing, etc. And get up early if you want to sit outside your rig in bearable temps.

Welcome guys. We're just down the road from ya (a bit north of Houston). You're gonna love your new rig.
