Welcome frfv! I'm new here myself and have a Vibe Extreme-lite on order at this very moment. Might be picking it up next weekend! Also, we are almost neighbors, we are just down the road in Fishers. Enjoy yourself here on the forum. There is so much great info!

Then welcome fireman1317. Seems like we have more than just location in common. I work in public safety as well. Good luck with your new vibe. We looked at them. They are nice campers but the wife and I could not agree on a floorplan.

I understand the floor plan dilemma. We thought we were all set to order one floor plan and then at the 11th hour we changed to another.

Welcome and congratulations on an excellent choice! OK, I am biased since we have the sister model on the WindJammer side. So far we are very very happy with ours.

If you have small kids, Ikea sells a cheap, $12, but decent bunk bed rail, I installed 2 and no holes have to be drilled. If it comes with 2 batteries check out the parallel jumper, it will probably be inadequate at least the one on ours was.

We went with 30 amp and the one 15k AC, hoping we don't end up regretting that down the road.

We also have the E4 Equalizer and it works great, it is noisy when you are tootling around looking for you campsite, lots or moaning and creaking noises but so far I just ignore it and no one has given us any funny looks.

Here is a link to the bed rail:

We looked at the windjammer. The flagstaff dealer was about an hour closer. I like the bed rail idea. What size is your E4? The dealer suggested 1000/10000 I think maybe the 1200/12000 would be better suited.

990 lb dry tongue weight? What dealer in their right mind would recommend 1000 lb bars? The dry tongue weight doesn't include the battery or propane so that is another 100 lbs right there. You are looking at a good 1200 lbs of tongue weight for that trailer. Double check that your receiver rating goes that high.

Welcome from OH! I use to be in Anderson 2-3 times a week, back when Guide Corp was around.

I went with what the dealer recommended and installed, the 10k/1k E4 and have not had any issues so far on our first 3 trips. Reading and thinking about what lbrjet wrote, I probably should of asked the same questions you are here. It makes sense to me that the 12k/1.2k setup would be a better choice and knowing what I know now, I would have insisted on the 12k/1.2k setup. You are on the right track, ask questions here and you will get a lot of good answers and go with your gut on what's best for you.
