Hello From Indiana

Hey everyone. Just wanted to create an intro here on the forum. I am fairly new to this forum (not forums in general) but I figured it was a good idea to join and learn and ask questions about my new (used) 2005 Rockwood Roo M-232

BTW.. I've seen quite a few "Hello From Indiana" threads started in here in the past few weeks.

So hello to all from Indiana!

Thanks everyone. Excited to get the Roo out next weekend. Been purchasing things left and right it seems to get fully setup with all of the camping essentials.

Heading down to McCormick's Creek in Spencer, IN for our first trip in the Roo!

Wife, ~6 mo Old Son, and our 2 dogs. Meeting up with her brother and their friends. Should be a good time.

Welcome from southern Indiana! McCormick's Creek is a great park. Have a good time and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Will do.. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions. He brother has been Camping a lot over the years so he is helping me out.

Just trying to figure out what to get now vs what should be on my wishlist for the camper.

I've already start purchasing a lot of the essentials on Amazon over the past few days.

Amazon List: Camping Purchased

Amazon List: Camping To Buy / Ideas

We have got other things from other places, but I'm a big fan of buying stuff online haha.

You have a pretty good list of things you have purchased and plan to purchase. Here is a tip from my thrifty thinking (think tightwad). I see that you have awning cleaner in your list of things to purchase. Awnings do get fowled up after a while camping. It seems they always are wet and when you roll them up and they can mildew. I clean ours with car wash soap and mix in a quarter cup of bleach. It cleans it and kills all mildew. Much cheaper than buying commercial made products. Wear old clothes or don't let the bleach spill on you as it will spot your clothes.

Hey welcome!
2 very important things I do not see in your lists.
Progressive industries surge guard.
Digital volt ohm meter.

I added this to the list, because after we purchased our Camper we brought out the awning to clean. I tried a mixture of Water/Bleach/Detergent. Maybe I didn't have the right mixture or something, but It didn't get the awning as clean as I wanted it. I brushed it on with a soft brush and then rolled it up for 15 min, then unrolled and sprayed off..

I was hoping that a more "Commercial" product would clean it better.. then after I can just maintain with household stuff.

But maybe I should try your mixture.

I haven't heard of that before.. I'll add it to the list and do some research on it.

Have you had a case yet where that has saved your camper?

And also a good idea on the Digital volt ohm meter. I believe I have one in the garage. But if not, its a good idea to pick one up.
