Hello from Iowa

I have never owned a travel trailer and still don't.
We have strongly considered the Lance 2185 for it's winter camping abilities and bunk beds.
However, we do like the layout of the 233s Shamrock and Roo. And while we have not seen a 25rs Roo or Shamrock (heard they can be found in the land of unicorns) we do like the floor plan even better.
Obviously no winter camping with the 233s but we could overhaul the 25rs....

So hello and I hope to learn much from you....and contribute too.

I think the last model year they made the 25RS, was 2014.
I believe that the 25RS or 23RS had issues with the supporting framework and slideout.
That and poor sales led to FR dropping the rear bed slideout models.

Thank you bikendan for the headup.
I did see that there were some people on here who had issues with the rear slide support. Just figured that was a possible issue to watch for.
Poor sales and 2014 being the last year made is why we would have some difficulty finding one.

If you really want a rear bed slideout, Outback was the leader of that style of TT. But it appears that they no longer make that type of TT anymore. So they apparently stopped making them for the same reasons.

Be aware that NONE of these trailers are really designed for winter camping. Some manufacturers claim it, but it's marketing. Slapping a couple tank heaters and enclosing the underbelly is hardly "winter-proofing."

Well aware of that. especially pop-outs.
non-pop-outs would need a major upgrade for winter camping.
Price difference might be worth it compared to the Lance trailers that are Winter capable.

You have the Carmelite Hermits of St Mary near you. My parents have visited there several times.
