Hello from Iowa!

I am a new member and my wife and I just bought our first travel trailer a 2004 flagstaff 827BH. I am not new to the camper world because of my job I pretty much live in a 2011 coachman Catalina (company provided). I have two quick questions that I hope someone will be able to answer for me since I work in Texas and am not at home I am unable to see for myself. 1- what is the tongue weight of this trailer? 2- what type of brakes are on this trailer? I am looking to buy the Reese strait-line weight distribution system with the dual cam sway control and am trying to figure out if it will work or not. Thank you in advance for any information ya'll can provide me with!

Welcome to the forum.

A 10 year old camper is going to be tough to find specs on.
If your weight stickers are still on the unit and readable that may be your only chance.

Welcome to the forum from another Iowan.

Hard to say without looking.
Most likely dexter or hayes.

Two like campers rolling of the line one right after another may both have different brakes from each other.
There should be a tag on the axle that may or may not help but it would be a good start.
I know your not anywhere close to the camper but if you got lucky enough to find someone with same year and model chances are they wouldn't know either.

Why do u need to know brake manufacture?

Thank you but I should have been more specific on my question, I'm needing to know if they are electric brakes, hydraulic brakes or surge brakes.
