Hello from Knoxville

Hello, folks. I just joined the site. I have been looking at purchasing a popup for my family for about a year, and now am starting to gravitate towards a Hybrid. A little background, as a kid growing up in Florida, we had a StarCraft popup, a 1975 Starmaster Galaxy 8, I believe. We were part of the camping club, and went all over Florida and the US every year to the rallys. We moved up to a 1977 TT and camped until I was about 12 or 13 I guess. Dad sold the camper, and I joined scouts. I have an older brother who started out with a small pup with his family, moved to a StarCraft Hybrid and now has a Forest River TT.
My wife and I have a 4 year old daughter. Lucky for me, my wife is a big tent camper, as well as I (23 years in scouts) but now we want a camper to make things a little more comfortable. I have been looking on CL and found a 2011 Coachmen Freedom Express 19 SQX LTX. I really like the floor plan, so I started doing some research which landed me here. Looks like they don't make that layout anymore. I am planning on buying used anyway.
So, I may hang around here and ask questions from time to time.

My husband and I (senior citizens) have camped in a nice popup (Coleman Fleetwood Niagara Highlander) for about 5 years. It has a slide-out and hardwalled bathroom. We enjoyed it so much that it got us back into camping more. But I'm just getting to old climbing up and down to go to bed. Knee injuries will do that to you. We recently bought a 28' Freedom Express with bunks for the grands. It's just great. Love everything about it. Good luck with your search.

Welcome to the forum from Maryville! You will get a lot of great information here. We also had a Coleman Williamsburg pop up for 15 years. We have so much great camping in our area.
