I've been reading FR Forum for 2 or 3 months but just joined today. I've read several posts that have been very helpful and decided I wanted to participate. The Forum is the first thing I open when I check email.
The Crawfish Festival is in Breaux Bridge and that is about 2 hours west of Slidell. We are 34 miles north of New Orleans. I've been to the Crawfish Festival several times and had a lot of good food and music. Starting in April there will be a Festival somewhere in Louisiana every weekend for several months. I hope you have a great visit.

Headed through your state in may, going to get some great cajun food and some better alligator then I have had here at the yearly crawdad festival,
