Hello from Louisiana!

Laissez le bon temps rouler. Let the good times roll! I went nuts and bought a 27 ft Cherokee Wolf Pack toy hauler to surprise my husband, Mike. We had been talking about a road trip and towing the Harley sooooo I bought my first travel trailer. Haven't been camping in 15 years but training with the National Guard doesn't count as camping. My Chevy Suburban had trouble towing it so I bought a 2008 Ford F250. I realized I spent my retirement $$$ so Mike has to pay for the diesel.

We are in our 50's and I want to spend our retirement enjoying our road trips while we are still young enough to climb out of that big ass truck! When I die, my kids will be crying around my casket because I only left them 20% because i spent the rest on ME and my hubby!!!

Enjoy hearing from anyone who has advice for a newbie!

Welcome! The best advice I can give is to spend lots of time scouring forums and learning from other peoples mistakes. Just about every question has been asked and answered on the forums, it just takes a little digging some time.

Welcome from the southern shore of Lake Ontario! Anything the National Guard didn't prepare you for is probably covered in the forums here. Enjoy!
