Hello From Maine

My wife and I bought a new salem Cruise Lite 261 BHXL the end of May. We set it up for the month of June at a campground just a little ways from Bar Harbor, being a new TT, we knew we would have a few bugs to work out, but the big bug is the furnace does not work. We are having fun anyways - even though the night have been in the 40's most every night. We hope to get it back to the Dealer soon to get it fixed ( the dealer is over a hundred miles away)and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Thanks everyone for the welcome, we are new to the RV thing and this forum. I have spent a lot of time camping in a tent when I was younger, this is like staying in the Hilton.

Welcome from Western Mass

What campground are you set up in? If you like fresh seafood without the china and linens try the Thirsty Whale on Cottage St.
We just pick up our 2618 Windjammer...did our shake down cruse this weekend in the driveway. Looking forward to spending some time back home (Old Town) with the Windjammer.

Enjoy your TT

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the trailer!!

We are former Mainiacs and my wife was born and raised in Millinocket and I was an Army brat but we lived in Medway Maine my High School years. (My wife is flying home next month to visit family.)

We are staying at Timberland Acres, this is close to home for us so it is kind of our shake down cruse. I live in Bangor and work in MDI, love the short drive to work, it makes it really nice this time of year with all the traffic. We know the Thirsty Whale well, have eaten there many times. Good luck in your travels and enjoy also.
