I've been lurking since the spring and finally decided to join. I decided to join mainly to say thank you to all of you who provide so much great information in every category.
I've used a few ideas after we got our new Sierra 32QBBS. We had a used 2005 R-Vision TT for the last eight years and we wanted to upgrade to the 5'er. We ordered it in April and I went to Ohio to pick it up, five days after it was built in June. We miss our TT, but wow what a difference with the new camper.
2015 Sierra 32QBBS-23 nights camped since the end of June 2014
2015-sorry to say only 11 nights so far, more to come though
Thanks. It's a great place to live and I can't wait to move where you are. I love the Carolinas, both the mountains and of course the coast.
The winters are milder but the summers are much more muggy and hot! Also be prepared for your vehicles to turn yellow with pollen in the spring. Of you wash your vehicle, it will be yellow again within an hour or two. If you have severe pollen allergies, this is not a good place to be come spring.
Otherwise it's great down here. I recommend the triangle area,Raleigh/Durham/chapel hill, (outskirts like apex and mebane are best although Cary is a lot like Bel Air) as it is approx 3-4 hours to both the beach and the mountains.
