Smile Hello from Michigan

We are new here on this site and from what I've seen tonight looking around I like what I see.
We have a new Cedar Creek 36B2 5er and are looking forward to our annual winter trip to Sundance1 RV park in Casa Grande AZ this winter.
I'll be around on the site and hope to get to know some of you.
One question first. Has anyone had problems with the brakes on the Cedar Creek 5th wheels? We are in the midst of finding out why we have no brakes.
We love our 36B2, all 41 feet of it. Now if we can just get it to stop.

to the forum. Visit and post often.

I would start out seeing if the brake controller is sending voltage to the TV plug. I think 5ers have a break away cable, so jack a tire off the ground and pull the cable to see if the wheel locks up. That will isolate whether the problem is at the TV or the 5er, and we can go from there.

Congrats on the new rig. Do you have the factory brake controller and did you set the gain per manual? Does display say trailer connected when you start your awesome truck?

You have the awesome truck thing right. We really like it. Always had Silverado's, this Ford is nice.
Yes the truck tells me we are connected and I have the brake gain set on 10 and it is the factory installed brake control.
Gillette RV sales where we ordered the 5th wheel picked it up today and it'll be between Dexter Axle and Cedar Creek to get the brakes fixed or replaced. The sad thing is we haven't even slept in it yet.

Already did that. I even took the 5er to the Ford dealer and they checked it out. We pulled the brake away switch off and it still rolls. The dealer picked it up today and it worked the same on his Chevy 3/4 HD as it does on my Ford. So it's a problem with the Dexter Axle people and or Cedar Creek.
The right voltage is going back to the brakes.

Welcome from over the border in Ontario. Hope you get those brakes fixed so you can get on to Arizona before it gets too cold. Old Guys
