Hello from Michigan

Season is almost over (sigh). But do love camping in the Spring and Fall.

This is our 2011 Coachmen Brookstone 354TS. It was set up perfectly for the DW that loves to take at least 1 cat with us and now we have a large dog that goes with us.

We purchased in fall of 2011, left over model so a good deal was reached. Brookstones don't appear to be particularly popular, but we really like ours (floorplan, options, paint, interior). We wanted cloth and our dealer worked with us.

We have done a fair share of mods to make it more ours.

We also, on occasion, haul a swivel wheel 58DW loaded with a Rampage lift and a 1993 Goldwing we have had since new (riding out west just isn't as fun as it used to be).

Among the mods, I added 2 cat doors. One to the bedroom so we could leave the door closed but the cat has access, and one to the closet that is partially used for a covered cat box. No dealing with a cat box in the shower anymore, yeah!

Happy trails!

Very nice. If it weren't for the fact that I love having access to the coach while driving, I'd definitely do a 5th wheel. Love the space and floor plans available. BTW, I'm in Battle Creek. Used to do baseball tournaments in Charlotte when my son was younger. Nice town!

Hi from Battle Creek. Nice looking unit. Used to do baseball tournaments in Charlotte when my son was younger. Do you ever stay at Turkeyville?

Thanks all.

And Rich, have been to Turkeyville several times, but never camped there. Last couple years have been making the rounds of the various State parks.

Thanks again to all.

We just got back Thursday from a 5 day stay at Clear Lake State Park, east of Gaylord. Great weather. Beautiful lake.

Gigi the dog enjoyed it, as did we.

Never looked into that campground, what did you think of it?

Wow, just looking at their website:
Whispering Waters will now focus on seasonal camping, hoping to add at least 10 more seasonal campers. We will also offer monthly and weekly sites, if space is available.

Guess they are basically turning it into a mobile home park.

We usually stay at Gun Lake/Yankee Springs SRA.

Definitely more of a seasonal campground, but they were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a bit tight for my coach, so I probably won't be back, but it was nice and quiet and had some nice activities going on.
