Hello from Middle Tennessee

Old wore out man with an old woman and 2 dogs here. We have had a few different type campers and currently have a small popup. The wife don't like it. She wants something with a motor and steering wheel so I may be trying to sell it come spring.

We usually camp and fish at the Bumpus Mills Campground on Lake Barkley during the summer.

We go to the Smoky Mountains 3 or 4 times a year but have only camped there once and that was at Cosby.

Welcome neighbor...we also live in Middle TN. :-)

We started out with pop-up when the kids were young, then graduated to a Class C in 1983. We had to have a class C because it slept more people and we had four kids who each had to take a friend. After the kids grew up, we went through a period where we didn't camp much, so we sold the camper and bought a regular van for traveling.

In 2003, we decided that we wanted to travel some, so we started over with a new pop-up camper. We took a trip across the country...all the way to the Pacific coast and back. It was a grand adventure and we had a great time, but realized soon that our backs were not young anymore and that the pop-up had some real disadvantages for older campers.

So, in 2006, we traded for a Class B van camper. It was great. We traveled over 70,000 miles in it, mostly weekend and vacation trips. This week, we just traded that for a new 32ft Class C Forest River Sunseeker. It is grand! We have only driven it from Nashville to our home (about 60 miles) but it is going to really change our traveling experience. First trip out will be next week...unless we decide to run up to Fall Creek Falls for the weekend. :-)
