Hello from Missouri!

Well, the DW and I went to the Greater Kansas City RV show to look for ideas for our Jayco TT we bought last year. We came home with a 2014 Flagstaff Classic Super lite 8528IKWS 5er. Wow! What have we gotten into?

CONGRATS! DH and I traded in our 8 month old V-Lite 30WIKSS TT for this same model two weeks ago. We are totally enamored with ours and haven't even gotten to do the shake-down trip yet. She "lives" in our back yard when not in use so I go out each day and just sit in and admire 'er.

We made the mistake of taking the V-Lite in for some warranty work at the dealer and decided we'd "just go look at 5th wheels on their sales lot while we're here".

Two weeks later we brought "Buffy" home, named 'er that because she appears to have a hump like a buffalo's shoulders.

DH named his truck "Biff", simply because it's so wrong it's right.

And surveyor is correct, we've only pulled 'er the 90 miles home from the dealer so far and the difference was awesome!

Now, go and welcome to this awesome, friendly, best source of information for RVers on the interwebs!

Must be something going around, I will need to be careful.

Anyway welcome to the FRF and congratulations on the new trailer.

Hello from Missouri!

Congratulations! You will definitely love the way it pulls vs your old TT. My wife and I are blown away at the better ride.

Congratulations on the new toy and welcome from another Missourian! Hope it was a great show in KC. DW and I always attend but this year we had to skip it as we decided to soak up some Florida sun this weekend. We are not in our TT which is different but the Marco Island lifestyle isn't bad either!

Thank you for the welcome! We dove in face first. Like I said we didn't have any intention of buying but just fell in love with 8628 and pulled the trigger at the show. We will pick her up possibly next weekend. I do have a couple questions right off the bat going from a bumper pull to a 5er. Do I need a king pin stabilizer? You know one of those tripod set ups? Also, I'm parking her in my driveway which slopes downward to the street. I parked the old nod nose down slightly with some 12x12 boards nailed together under the tongue jack. Will I have any issues doing the same with the 5er?

Yes you can use one of the many tripods out there if you want.

These or something like them may work better and there is no storage room taken by them.
