Hello from NC

Hi guys and gals just found you guys and I like what I see. I have been camping for several years off and on. I have a 1999 Keystone Sprinter 28ft with a slide. Hope to have some fun here and happy camping all.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site. I've passed thru Newton a few times to stop @ Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet for souvenirs. I've got the little dealer tags on my '86 Monte Carlo SS & the truck. People always ask, "You drove to NC to buy your car/truck?" LOL

Thanks guys I will be heading out this Saturday for Cherokee for a 5 night stay at the Happy Holiday Campground. I bought my first new truck @ Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet as they are a good bunch of people there. I only live about 4 miles from them.

Not only are we not your neighbours but we are not even close. However, that doesn't mean we aren't glad to see you here. I'm sure you will have lots of good input and info for us. So with that in mind and were glad you found us. Old Guys

welcome, lone wolf to FRF.

just a question. since you have a Keystone and not a FR product, how did you decide to join. i know there's a Keystone Owners Forum. are we a friendlier bunch here or what.

Welcome. We live at High Rock Lake near Lexington, NC. Most of our camping is done within the state (still flirting from afar with retirement) and we will be glad to share any info on our favorite campgrounds if you ever need it. We have four or five that we tend to go to again and again because we love them.

As for the Cherokee campground you mentioned, we have never been there, but I read that the Native Americans who own the property have chosen not to renew the lease of the folks who ran the park. It seems that the Indian family that owns the land decided to run the campground themselves because they had lots of ideas for making it better. Sounds good to me, but I hope you will let us know what you think after you visit.

As for this site, I think you will find a lot of very experienced people here who are happy to share their knowledge. Have fun.

No, no. We want you. Our opening welcome lets everyone know you don't have to be a Forest River owner to be here. Face it, most all of the manufacturers have similar floor plans and use all the same parts anyway as far as refrigerators, a/c, stoves, etc so there isn't a whole lot of difference from one to the other. The advice found here will work on most any RV.

no, no, just wanted to find out how you came upon this forum since it's usually suggested by other FR owners.

Just kidding I found you by doing a search for RV and Camping forums and I am not going anywhere as I have joined several sites and looking for more. I enjoy looking for updates and fixes for RV's and what folks are eating at there sites when camp.
