Hello from NC foothills

My first time in a forum - bear with me! And we're new to camping. We bought an '07 Roo 21SS at the end of July. We managed to get in 3 trips before winterizing. Whew - what a learning curve! I hope I can find some answers around here...

Welcome to the "Roo Kroo"!!!

be sure to check out the Roo sub-forum, in the Expandable/Hybrid section.
you can also check out the Shamrock sub-forum, since it's the twin of the Roo.

Welcome from an Upstate SC member! Being fairly new at camping ourselves, this forum has been a great place for information and the members are extremely helpful.

Welcome Roo-Woo! We are also from WNC and new RV owners. I can't agree more with you about the learning curve! I should have videoed the walk through. You will find a lot of good information in this forum.

Hey LPink - we were sort of close to your neck of the woods in early August. Stayed in Spruce Pines....great time to be there to escape our heat and humidity down the hill a little ways! Do you know more good places around you?

One the best campground around here is Steel Creek Park in Morganton. Here's a link to their website: http://www.steelcreekpark.com

I've known the owner for many years. The lake is crystal clear (and cold). White sand is trucked in for the beach. They have live entertainment on the weekends. The place stays spotless. They also have a large water slide. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Welcome from middle Tennessee. We also love camping in the NC mountains. The host at a Georgia state park campground just told me about a campground in Asheboro, NC that caters to dog lovers. Got to find that one and check it out.

I am new to both the forum and the RV World. Purchased a 2007 Rockwood Ultra-lite, signature model. From NC, live in MO. Have it parked on Topsail, on the coast of NC. I have several issues with The Consertone System. Have everything working, but the AM/FM. Just can't get the radio to come up. The TV/CD/DVD/MP3 all work great, just can't figure the Radio out. Has to be something simple, but had no luck. Need advice

I had the same problem, found that the black plug in wire for the antenna was not plugged in the rear of the unit, now it works fine.

you need to start your own thread about your issue, instead of piggybacking on a thread unrelated to your problem.
there's an Electronics sub-forum, under the Tech Talk section.

The good thing about this learning curve is that you can a lot of it at a pace you are comfortable with. This site is great and filled with lots and lots of useful information and helpful members.

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcomes! I've enjoyed looking around in here this week. Loads of good stuff to learn from and try out this year. Let's see...I guess I've got to wait at least 3 months...can't wait!
