hello from new campers in SW VA

Just wanted to say hi, me and my wife just bought our first camper and got back from our first trip out this past weekend at Country Waye in Luray, VA, so far we love it, cant wait to the next trip (maybe around Thanksgiving)

I've done a lot of reading here and rv.net, look forward to participating and learning, thanks for sharing what you know!

Hello and welcome to the forums! Love your pictures - thanks for sharing. Really like that campground...I need to add it to my list.

That's a pretty good looking trailer (even more so for being your first trailer). Just jump in when you feel comfortable.

thanks, in doing my research I had decided on on a rockwood windjammer but the deal fell through in the very end at rv wholesalers and it just so happened I found a "local" dealer (1hr 30min) from here who was willing to meet my terms and we fell in love with the 8319ss they had on the lot, i think its a great brand!

the park has great reviews on the net and we found out for ourselves when we got there, immaculate grounds, easy to get in and out, utilities spaced perfectly, spacious lots and roads, quiet area, friendly staff, we will go back for sure, thanks for the reply

And from still another Virginian.....welcome !!!

We had a bunch of Virginians join the forum recently......we might just take over.

Ah, Luray......the county seat of Page County......my home county. My kids still live there, and I hope to get back there when the missus retires.

I have never camped at Country Waye, but looks like a great place. Great pictures.

There are two rv parks off I81, Exit 63, one being a KOA. Never camped there but the KOA looks OK. Warriors Path State Park in Kingsport, TN or Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park just down the road in Limestone, TN. This park has some sites with sewer. No reservations at TN state parks.

The people who own Cootie Browns have opened another nice restaurant in Johnson City called Jack's City Grill.
