Hello from New Caney, TX

Jim loved to salt water fly fish when he was a teenager many many years ago. I have been wanting and wishing for an RV for 25+ yrs but until he decided to get back into salt water fly fishing my wish was put on hold. Maybe that was a good thing being the RV's now a days are so pretty. Well, needless to say are into our 4th year of RVing. We went from a FunFinder 14' to a FunFinder 18' and our latest a Skyline Texan 24'. We are looking at a Heritage Glen 286rtl 33' right now. Keeping fingers crossed the bank will loan us the money. We really like the floor plan. More then enough room for an Old Couple such as us. I joined this forum hoping to get some info and reviews on the Heritage Glen. I was in the FunFinder Forum and just loved the friendliness of the RVers.

Well I am really anxious to see what everyone says about Forest River Rv's.

Later.......alligator

Welcome from central Oklahoma! I lived in Spring for a while when I was going to school down there, loved the winter weather!
-We just looked at a couple of Heritage Glen fivers a couple weeks ago, the 366bh and 356qbq, we liked them and the prices, but want to look at the sabre and open range big bunkhouses before we pull the trigger and order one.
I think I actually like this kind of shopping more than my wife!

There is an rv show in OKC today that we're going to today!
Happy shopping!

Welcome Marigold...from right in your back yard! I'm not familiar with the Heritage Glen either as I have a Wildcat, but if you have any specific questions, let us know. Brand aside, we still may be able to help.

Welcome from Santa Fe, TX. Don't know about the rv you are looking at but we have always wanted a rv and purchased a Columbus 320 last year. We are newly retired and have really enjoyed it. It is perfect for the two of us. We are trying to do Texas State Parks and tried our first KOA in Rusk which was really nice before we venture outside of Texas. Good luck on whichever rv you decide on. Jeane

Hi eisbell. Did you take a train ride whilst in Rusk? We stayed at the Rusk KOA a couple of years ago and enjoyed the train ride on Mothers Day. It was a great trip.

EdJunior. We did do the train ride in the open car. Nice weather that day. Ervin did it as a child and I did it from Galveston to Houston as a child. Mother and Aunt worked for Santa Fe RR in Galveston. Grandfather took us and we had breakfast thinking we were big stuff but really good memories. The KOA was just taken over by a new couple from PA and they were so very nice, etc. nice park. We are trying to decide where to go now. Trying to do one trip a month. Have a good weekend. Jeane

Hello......Thanks for the Welcome. I had to try and remember my ID and Passcode. Get my age and we lose anything that is not attached to our body. Just got back from 4 days at Galveston Island State Park. Weather was a bummer for fishing for Jim but for me I loved it. We are still shopping around for our Forest River RV. We have a certain floor plan we really like a lot. We found one in Waco. I called today and a salesman said he will call me back tomorrow.

Hello from Cleburne Tx. We are north west of you and travel in your direction, we have family in Pasadena. Have stayed in Galveston and Kemah several times and loved it, we will be back. We have our order in for a Rockwood 8289WS, should be ready for pickup late november. We had a Cougar 291rls 5th wheel that we used for several years and really enjoyed it. Put it up for sale and it sold way too quick as we don't have anything now. We will be hitting the road as soon as the Rockwood is delivered.
