Hello from New Member

Hello,

We just brought home our first travel trailer yesterday; a 2017 Wolf Pup.

We're not new to the world of RVing since we previously owned a 1987 Winnebago Class C. We traveled/camped with it for over 5 years before deciding its days of travel were winding down. The old RV retired with friends to a permanent campsite.

This is the first time either of us have had a travel trailer and I admit to being a bit nervous about the whole towing and parking adventure. We purchased a weight distribution hitch so that is an adventure in its own right. Thankfully though most of the other maintenance and care tasks we are already familiar with.

We typically travel with many small rescue dogs so we have been known to stop traffic. I'm looking forward to getting back out on the road and I know that we'll become pros again in no time.

Thanks for letting me join and I'm sure I'll be stopping in to get all the advice I can find.

Welcome from NC. Lots of help on the forums. It won't take you long to get used to hooking up, towing and backing the tt. I do suggest practicing your backing in an empty parking lot. You can start by practicing backing in a straight line. Then practice putting it into spots on your right and left.

For hitching, raising the rear of the truck with the trailer will make hooking and unhooking the wdh easier.
