Welcome!

South Central PA here.

Were you happy with the Boat and RV place in Hamburg? They have some mixed reviews on here.

They gave us a great price, trade in and all, and had an awesome inventory, but the sales team, including manager were not very knowlegable in what they sold me, and the manager a day later didnt know who i was, so i wasnt very happy with that. I pick it up on friday, lets see if the guy doing the walk through with me can tell me anything i dont already know ;-)

PA is well represented on the forum. Welcome from Upper Bucks.

Since you were trading in you probably know about PDIs. There are some good resources here on what to look for.

We are a little farther north and east. We are up near Pecks Pond in Pike co. We purchased our Heritage Glen 28rlt from the same place. We picked it up last Thursday. We were happy with the process both of trading in, buying the new one and picking it up. Taking it for a test run on Friday

If I were you I would try to go over the camper before you sign any papers as once they have your money things will be harder to get fixed, I also have not heard to many good things about Boat n RV in Hamburg, Best of luck hope all goes well

Wilkes-Barre here, welcome to the forums! X2 on B n RV, go over everything with a fine toothed comb. Mixed reviews to say the least. I've been totally happy with Pocono RV in Bath, just had work done and, while they're not cheap, they know what they're doing. Good luck!

Congrats on the new trailer from Reading PA.

Since we got all these great PA RVers on this thread I thought I'd ask any opinions on a campground near Bushkill falls. I was looking at Otter Lake or Mountain vista?

Congrats on the trailer, we are from Pen Argyl, PA just south of Stroudsburg. I've been slowly looking at upgrading and have emailed Boat N RV twice about two units they had on their site. It's been a week with no response.

I travel alot for work so it's not always easy for a phone so I've been doing alot of email inquiries.

No hurry, but glad to hear you got a good deal on both the trade and your new trailer!

I think we are going to get out once more in the Poconos for some foliage and halloween activities for the kids, then it will be almost time to winterize!

DW and I stayed at both places in 2012: a weekend at Mountain Vista (that was our camper's maiden voyage) in April and Otter Lake for 5 days in May. Both are nice places, I'd go back to either again no problem. I liked Otter Lake more, it's prettier and the sites are a little bigger then Mountain Vista. Plus, it certainly was quiet (we were there before Memorial Day.) Lakefront (LF) 24, 25, and 26 are really nice spots, especially if you like to fish right from your campsite. Just take it easy on the road in, it's narrow in spots.

Just spent a weekend at Steel Steeds right across from you there! Nice campground, cool owner, and biker friendly. They actually had a wedding there last Saturday! That place is going to be a yearly trip, and it's a great jump-off point for motorcycling in the north-central part of the state. Pretty area.

Can't help with Otter Lake or Mountain Vista. Only live about 20 minutes away from both but don't know anything about them. Would be interested to hear about them.
