Hello from Northeastern Ontario, Canada

Hello All,

Greeting from Northeastern Ontario. Looking forward to getting out this season but looks like we will have a little wait. Still have about 2 feet of snow left on the ground and the forecast for the next week is just above freezing. Last year at this time it was about 20 degrees celcius(about 68 fahrenheit) and no snow on the ground.

Looking forward to Goshen this summer. Will be our longest trip to date.

The picture of this little guy was taken yesterday. He is probably wondering what is going on .

Welcome aboard from Prince Edward County........the part on Ontario that juts out into Lake Ontario.........kinda SSE of you. I heard that summer up your way usually happens the third Thursday in July.

Truthfully, I passed through your area a number of years ago as my buddy and I were on a late summer motorcycle trip up to the la Grande area of Quebec to visit their HUGE hydro-electricity installation. Pretty scenery. Cell phones were useless for us being so far North but we made it.

Hi Diane & Bill!

Welcome to the forum. I'm a northerner myself. Lived in Timmins, Cochrane and Matheson area in my growing up years. Got transplanted to SW Ontario many moons ago. But the rocks still speak to me. Love visiting relatives from Matheson to Chapleau and Sudbury and can't get enough of the beautiful lakes and rock cuts. Summer may be shorter there than here but sure is wonderful with all those lakes.

This summer we have reservations at Pancake Bay (Soo area), Wakami Lake (Chapleau) and Sturgeon Bay (N of Parry Sound).

We are not that far south of you near North Bay and are also heading to Goshen! Went thru Cobalt a few years ago on a trip to a Trillium/Boler rally (our old trailer) up in Earlton.
I try not to think about this time last year, too depressing!
