Hello from old newb in MI

Hello all,
Wife and I are brand spanking new to pop-ups. I retired in 2011 after 43 years railroading. My wife still works but looks like she'll be cutting back later this year. After tent camping for 30 years we found we're too old, sore, and beat up to get up off the ground anymore, so in 2012 we bought a Flagstaff High Wall (HW27KS). Haven't used it yet due to some minor setbacks, but all's well and we're going out in a couple of weeks for our maiden voyage. Found this forum accidently about an hour ago while looking up info on greasing the axles and couldn't be happier. I'm dumber than a bag of hammers about this camper, and it looks like this is the place to get educated.
Happy to be here,
Dave

Hi and Welcome from another Michigander. I googled your trailer and liked what i saw. We had a 2000 Coleman Utah PUP with a slide that we really liked and still miss the size of the beds. You will enjoy the new trailer and all the info you will find on this site. BTW, 43 years is a big deal now a days. I am at 38 with the hope of getting out at 40. Congratulations.

Welcome to the forum, Dave. You'll find tons of good info on here and plenty of helpful folks. Like Jim (above), we are also from Michigan, and my wife and I graduated from tenting for 15 years, to a 2000 Coleman Utah PUP for about 12 years, but then skipped the hybrid (although we almost bought a Roo 233S, more or less like Jim's Surveyor!) and bought a TT last year. Hat's off to you on 43 years with one employer, and here's to the next chapter!

Welcome Dave! I'm also a newb from Michigan. My wife and I are in Western Michigan (GR area). We love RVing and have had our FR Cardinal Platinum for 7 years. We've been RVing over 20 years. We started in a tent and decided early on that the tent wasn't for us. This is a great site with very friendly people. Have fun with that new Flagstaff!
