My husband and I have been longtime RV renters, and finally decided to take the big plunge and buy our own! Most of the rentals were FR or Sunseekers and we've been very impressed with the overall layouts and performance - so we decided to upgrade and have recently put a deposit on a Georgetown 351ds that should be here in early May. We've been lurking on this board for a while.
We are very excited but apprehensive on ownership, just looking at all the things you have to keep track of and fixing stuff. We are pretty handy, so I'm sure once we get familiar we will do fine.
I'm sure we'll be looking for ideas on things to be upgraded, so far we've got a small list, but it will only get bigger I am sure (so far, shower head and replacing bulbs with LED's are top of the list) and maybe a bike rack.
We live just outside of Portland in Tigard, and we are still working full time, so this will be a weekend activity for us and our 3 cats (Sophie, Edgar and Carlos) for now. Plus it takes practically 3 days to drive anywhere from the left coast anyway....
Looking forward to becoming an RVer!
